July 2011
What an exciting month July is turning out to be.
I have sold two originals from Costal Design Gallery in Campbeltown, Kintyre. They were the Stonechat and the Stag. I was sad to see them go as I am sure all artists are, but pleased as well to think someone else loved looking at them as much as I enjoyed creating them.

Also, I have had my butterfly pair accepted into the National Exhibition of Wildlife Art, NEWA, held at Gordale Garden Centre is a large extremely busy garden centre midway along the Wirral Peninsula, between Chester and Heswall on the A540.
This is a very prestigious exhibition with a lot of top name artists displayed so I am realy pleased to have been accepted for the second year running. For more info you can visit their website at :- www.newa-uk.com

If you should be in the Lakes during Saturday 28th May - Saturday 25th June 2011 you may want to pop into the Derwent Pencil Museum to take a look at some amazing art done with coloured pencil as the UKCPS 9th Annual "World of Coloured Pencil Exhibition is going to be there. I am happy my Peacock Butterfly will be there too.

January 2011
I am pleased to say that I have been booked to spend three days in June demonstrating Derwent Coloursoft Pencils at the Museum in Keswick. This should be great fun and a great way of trying something new.

28th and 29th June 2011
Derwent Coloursoft Pencils with Jo Goudie
Derwent are offering taster sessions using their full range of Derwent Coloursoft pencils. Each demonstration is run by a professional artist, the sessions are informal, full of laughter and are a great way of experimenting with all the different types of pencils and papers.
These events are completely FREE; all they ask is that you collect a ticket from the Museum reception which entitles you to one hour’s complimentary tuition. The sessions run from
10am – 4pm

30th June 2011
Derwent Coloursoft Pencils on black paper with Jo Goudie

Coloursoft pencils are amazing to use on black paper and are highly blendable due to their soft texture. I will cover a broad range of techniques throughout the day.
Workshops are suitable for beginners and intermediate levels and run from 10.30am – 4.30pm.
Each workshop is £40 per person and pre-booking is essential to avoid disappointment.
A 10% discount is offered for two or more workshops booked at any one time and all materials are supplied along with complimentary tea, coffee and afternoon sticky treats.
